Growing up an ‘air force brat’, she traveled extensively across Canada, and as a working adult in 1976, settled in Alberta. Her creative ability was readily evident as a child and eventually was able to follow her destiny. Her education consists of formal training in Red Deer College (Art &Design) and U of C BFA program as well as numerous workshops with acclaimed artists. Linda is a prolific acrylic artist and enjoys a variety of subject matter and tools (her favourite being the palette knife). Back in Calgary, and painting full time since 2005, she has developed a very successful career.

She has been juried into many local, National and Internationals shows, acquiring many accolades along the way. She has numerous FCA awards,and 'Outstanding Acrylic' international Boldbrush awards .She is fast becoming internationally recognized winning awards in the Plein Air Salon, Raymar Art, ISAP, and American Art Awards. She has accumulated 4 belt buckle awards at the Stampede Western Showcase for 'Collectors Choice' , ‘Best New Artist’,’Artists Choice’, and ‘Best Of Show’.

Linda Wilder is an active participant in the art community and her paintings are enjoyed in both corporate and private collections World Wide. She is represented by Mountain Galleries, in Banff, Jasper and Whistler, The Bronze Coast Gallery in Oregon
